worried with my passport

My PI trip is less than 2weeks away. The date is getting closer and honestly husband and I are frustrated because of my passport delay. Its been 6 weeks now since i send it for renewal and never got anything back yet. We tried to call the embassy in DC and in Manila to ask any little information about it but we failed. I don't know what the deal is. We keep calling and calling like 50 times and we're lucky if we get answered at one time. But still ,if we got a chance to talk to somebody, they don't give us the assurance on whether or not we got it on time. The Phil. government is very hard to deal with. nuff said! ON the other hand, i'm excited on our Pi trip. Who wouldn't? With that, i already prepare some of the things i need to bring. I already pack some "pasalubongs" for everybody and even put some of our clothes, electronics like cameras, camcorder and phones for my siblings to make sure i won't forget to bring them. So far, we are about ready. Now if we get my passport back i will be rest assured.
