Step-son's acne

My step-son is going to a puberty stage. Many things are changing including the physical appearance, voice as well as the behavior. Everything is okay so far but husband is been really bothered about his face where a lot of acne are coming out. The acne are noticeable because they are big, red and sure does painful for him too. He already put some acne products
for it before but evently it keeps on coming back. I don't exactly know if there are products that will prevent them from coming back----we sure want to know what that is.
